A close encounter
Today we had a close encounter with chickens. Miss Johns and her students brought in two chickens and we learnt that the chick had no brother or sister or mum so Miss Jones rang up the place where she got the chick and asked if the chick could have an adopted Mother they said yes. The new adopted mother's breed was Silkie and the chicks breed was Australorp.
Here are some cool facts that I learnt from Miss Jones students number 1, it takes 21 days for a chicken egg to hatch. Number 2, the life cycle of a chicken, it goes egg then chick and then to chicken.
